OUR HISTORY
An Indenture dated 19 June 1912 between Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of Caulfield and the Trusteers of the Caulfield Citizens Club, granted to those trustees permission to use part of the Caulfield Patk fronting Balaclava Road for the purpose of a Bowling Green, a Tennis Court and a Croquet Grond for a nominal rental of One Shilling per annum.
The contract for constructing the bowling green was let to W. Loud and Son on 30 August 1922, for a tender price of £395. Mr R. McCulloch won the tender for construction of the clubhouse for £188.
The opening day for the Caulfield Park Bowling Club was Saturday 6 October 1923.
A fire destroyed the clubhouse on 20 November 1977. Fortunately the Club was able to function after the fire, through the generosity of the neighbouring Caulfield Park Tennis Club in granting the club the use of its pavilion.
A new Caulfield Park clubhouse complex was built, and opened on 15 July 1979.
On 15th March 2013, the Club became the Caulfield Park Alma Bowing Club, after merging with the neighbouring Alma Bowling Club.
